ABOUT THE EVENT
As social, technological, and environmental changes continue to reshape the ways people live and relate to one another, understanding and rebuilding the bonds that connect us has become one of today’s greatest challenges.
Rethinking the Future IV: Reconstructing Human Connection, organized by the National Institute of Science and Technology on Social and Affective Neuroscience (INCT-SANI), invites researchers from different fields to reflect on how human connections can be understood, preserved, and strengthened in a constantly changing world.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The fourth edition of the event will bring together leading international and national researchers in social and affective neuroscience, psychology, philosophy, and the social sciences. Discussions will explore themes such as:
Empathy and dehumanization

All sessions will align with the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDGs 3 (Good Health and Well-being), 10 (Reduced Inequalities), 13 (Climate Action), 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), and 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
